Revive Your Overlooked Dish Pantry
January 28, 2021
As soon as the New Year started, I wanted to start fresh and try to organize every part of my house. I wanted to start 2021 on a good foot and make it 100 times better than 2020. A lot of you love to see organized spaces and I knew this room was the perfect place to start. This is my storage room for any and everything I use for my tablescapes.
This room was used to store everything I didn’t need for at least a year. I finally decided to reorganize it and take everything I didn’t need out. Start the New Year fresh!
First things first, a fresh coat of paint! I wanted to go for a darker blue color and give the room a moody and beautiful feel. I wanted to do something different so I painted stripes on the ceiling that continued down onto the wall, as if it was wallpaper. I love the way it turned out, super chic!
This bookcase was already in this room so I gave it a fresh coat of paint with the same color I used on the wall. I wanted to give it a major impact as it’s what’s going to be holding all my dishes on display.
The cabinet on the wall was an add-on that was made to this room as this used to be a small office space for the previous owner. Seeing as this room doesn’t have any windows and it’s a bit small, I didn’t want to use it as my office space. The dresser underneath was actually a gift from my old neighbor and of course I gave it a fresh coat of paint to revive it. I decided to paint it the same color as the cabinets above it. I actually did this not too long ago and I love the paint color so much I decided to keep them as they were.
Organizing the inside of the cabinets was chaos. I had so many things in there that I didn’t even know where to start. Organizing sometimes can be bit of a challenge because you have to get rid of a lot of things but in the end it’s for the best. I love how organized it looks now and I know I’ll be able to find everything I need with ease.
The drawers were a lot easier to do. Fun actually! I found all my dividers at HomeGoods and that made it so much easier for me to organize. The gold cutlery as well as the plastic cutlery were both found at HomeGoods too and I am obsessed!
Everything you see here has a special place in my heart. A lot of these things were found at HomeGoods and they all have been used for any special occasion whether that be a holiday or family event.
