Elegant & simple Christmas tablescape
December 03, 2019
If you ask me, this is quite literally the best time of they year! It’s the most beautiful season and Christmas is so important for a lot of families like mine. It’s a time when we all get together and have a good laugh and an even better drink with friends and family! For me, the Christmas dinner is on the top of the list of most important things. It’s the perfect time to catch up over good food and reminisce on the year that has flown by. These days we’re all so preoccupied with life: work, kids, friends and everything in between. That’s why I like to make the most of the holiday seasons because it only happens once a year and it truly is beautiful!
This year, my tablescape is a little more simple then the years past. I went with some fairly simple flower arrangements but they still stand out and look beautiful. If you know me, you know this is one my big things when it comes to setting a table. I went with delicate and subtle on the roses to contrast against my black wall.
The first thing I always do is decide on what colors I want to do this time around. It’s always the first thing I do because it gives me a starting point on what I need to do. Of course I went to Homegoods to get a bit of inspiration and to my surprise I found these plates that I was not expecting! They are so beautiful and the color was perfect for my Christmas table.
The plates all the way on the bottom made me so happy the second I saw them. They are clear with a gold outline and I knew I could use it for the table. The dinner plates are different but they do go with the color scheme which is important. One of the plates does have gold design and the smaller ones have stars that I just thought was precious. I will say I have a small obsession with stars!
The silverware in gold was also an amazing find at Homegoods. They are elegant and perfect for a Christmas dinner. I always like to put a small gift for all my guests to thank them for coming to my house and spending the holidays together.
The glasses are so special to me because they are different then what you normally see; they’re gold! If you couldn’t tell, I decided my main color this year was gold. I wanted my table to be spectacular this year and with tons of sparkle!
I decided to fill up the table with candles I found at Homegoods. This year I was able to find these extra long ones I hadn’t seen before. I like these because they just elevate the table and make it look so much more elegant. Not to mention the price is unbelievable; so affordable! The candles are important because they add a touch of elegance and romance.
I also added some ornaments and artificial snow to the table to give it that Christmas feel. It’s something so simple yet so effective when it comes to setting the table. Combined with the candles and the flowers, it’s just breathtaking! Everyone will be talking about it. I was so happy with the end result of my Christmas tablescape and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did!
I hope you got a little inspiration for your Christmas tablescape this year and that your holiday parties continue to be better than the last. Thank you for stopping by the blog and being such amazing followers! I wish you all a beautiful Christmas full of friends and family and a prosperous new year.
Happy Holidays friends!
