Simple Halloween Decorating Tips
September 24, 2019
Fall is such a fun time of year here in Massachusetts. Decorating for Fall is so much fun and adding hints of spookiness to my decor during October is always a treat.
Halloween Decorating Around My Home
I tend to lean more towards a classy and sophisticated Halloween theme when adding spooky elements to our home.
HomeGoods has the most amazing blush colored pumpkins in a variety of textures. I decided to go with a mix of blush, orange and black as a color scheme in our living room creating a casual yet elegant Halloween theme.
Decorating a coffee table can be tricky. Often times simple is better. I found this adorable black wooden sign at HomeGoods and used it as a tray or anchor for the candlesticks. Kind of cute right?
Once Halloween has passed, I will keep the majority of the decor items in the living room and simply remove the Halloween elements. Keeping things simple these days is a must for me.
All Halloween and Fall decor, mantel mirror, accent chair, baskets, throw pillows, throw, lantern, pumpkins, white mantel trees, coasters and wooden signs are from HomeGoods. The coffee table and rug are from HomeSense.
Halloween Front Entrance
Our front door is a unique Italian style so I decided to add a Fall themed wreath from HomeGoods with a few spiders spread throughout.
Scattered faux and real pumpkins, lanterns and mums are the easiest and quickest way to decorate your front entrance for Halloween.
The indoor outdoor pumpkins and lanterns from HomeGoods helped create a Fall / Halloween theme that wasn’t overly spooky.
The white ceramic pumpkin has a battery powder candle inside which looks so pretty at night.
Whether you love to decorate for Halloween with a lot of spooky decorations or prefer to mix in Halloween elements with your everyday seasonal decor as I did, it’s a great time of year to show off your fun side and welcome guests with something out of the ordinary.
