What Mom Really Wants

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, we asked four bloggers (who are moms!) what they think makes a thoughtful gift and the results are inspiring! A little creativity paired with our every day savings means there are endless ways to create something personal from the heart.
1. A Garden Theme by 2 Ladies & a Chair
Joan drew inspiration for her Mother’s Day gift from memories of her mom sitting in her flower garden watching hummingbirds with her morning coffee. A cheery lumbar pillow sparked a gift basket for a chic outdoor corner.
To bring the garden theme to life, Joan found outdoor elements to add ambiance to her mom’s space.
“Soft lighting in a garden in the early evening is magical. Isn’t this a lovely lantern? I also love the delicate trim design; it’s so pretty. Peonies are one of my mom’s favorite flowers, so I know she’ll treasure this peony scented candle. And it’s pink – perfect!” – Joan

2. A fancy tea party by Happy Happy Nester
Janine from Happy Happy Nester, knows what she would want for Mother’s Day – a Gourmet Tea Gift Basket! She filled hers with lots of fun and yummy treats.
After choosing her theme, the first step was to find a container. There are so many options to choose from but she instantly fell in love with this wire basket! You can personalize the container to your mom’s interests, for example a planter if she likes to garden, a suitcase if she likes to travel, or a decorative box that fits her style or color scheme.
Janine then chose a tablecloth for the table, which became the inspiration source for her other finds. The cute design and colors led her to create a “pretty in pink” theme!

An at home spa by Modern Glam
A spa day is the perfect gift for a busy mom! Give her everything she needs to rejuvenate and relax in the comfort of her own home. Ashley, from Modern Glam, personalized a gift basket by hand selecting each item. This gift also doesn’t have to be just for moms! A personalized basket is special for anyone in your life whether they are a grandma, aunt, sister, or best friend.
Add bath salts in your basket for relaxation and detoxification. Any tension or stress will wash away with floral aromas and essential oils. Personalize it for your mom by selecting her favorite scent or color.
A fluffy towel is a must for any spa gift basket! A classic white towel is always a winner. However, also feel free to choose a towel in her favorite color, or one to match her bathroom colors. Include a pretty scented candle for an extra spa touch!

A patisserie basket by Summer Adams
If your mom enjoys hosting social gatherings, a patisserie gift basket could be the gift for her! Inspire her to invite friends over for a night of Parisian pastries and sweets with a beautiful tray and gorgeous hosting essentials!
Summer, from Summer Adams Designs, found her inspiration through her desire to visit Paris, as well as her plans to go on a European vacation.
Summer’s first find was a dessert stand that reads “éclair au chocolat” and the recipe in gold script. Summer knew a dessert, especially chocolate, would be a crowd pleaser. She added chocolate eclairs from a bakery for a special touch.
Pink shimmery goblets caught Summer’s attention in the outdoor dining aisle, and she knew they would be perfect for entertaining.
