Organization and Cleaning

Every time a new year starts, we all have tons of resolutions we want to accomplish. One of the most popular ones has to be getting into shape. Another popular one is getting control of your home and making sure everything is organized and in place. This years resolution was just that for me. I gave myself the task of organizing my daughters pantry as well as cleaning out the junk and bringing in healthy alternatives. Her home originally did not have a pantry so we got creative and and made one within this spare closet she had in her dining room area. Her kitchen is small and only contains 2 cabinets for storage.

Organizing a pantry is one of the most satisfying things to me. Taking everything out and seeing that we have things that probably expired a year ago is something that happens to all of us. Tossing out things that aren’t needed and making that extra effort to get healthier foods is a great way to start. When it comes to organizing your pantry, it doesn’t need to just boxes. You can organize in style and here i’ll be giving you tips on how to do just that!

Tip #1: This has to be my favorite tip. Use wallpaper. It’s my biggest suggestion when wanting to keep your pantry stylish and also give it that wow factor. I suggest using one that can be removed easily. It’s one of the things that will catch everyone’s eye as soon as they open that door.

Tip #2: Always buy containers in groups. For example, buy 3 or 4 of the same ones and maybe 3 of a different style and so on and so forth. Having mix match containers all over the place makes it look messy. Having them grouped together gives it a cleaner and more organized look.

Tip #3: Clear containers are one of the best ways to organize your products. Anytime you’re looking for something, it’s in plain sight and easy to find. You know exactly what’s inside.

Tip #4: Labels are so important when it comes time to organize. They can be stickers or handwritten. What I did is write directly on the container with a chalk pen. You can do it with white or gold to give it a different look.

Tip #5: Baskets are a creative way to organize. Apart from looking super cute, they’re also great when it comes time to hiding anything you don’t want seen in plain sight!

Tip #6: Hanging hooks is a great way to store your reusable shopping bags and/or aprons.

I hope you enjoyed my post and it gives you some motivation for your home organization. I’ll see you soon and don’t forget to follow me on all social media outlets for more. Until next time!
