Refresh your outdoor space with bright and fresh accessories
January 02, 2019
Brighter colors, warm weather and a place to sit and relax. Doesn’t this sounds amazing?! After the Holiday season many of us dream of that cozy outdoor space (or maybe an inside little nook) where we can feel softly kissed by those spring sun rays.
Now that we are getting chilly temperatures here in Miami, we love to spend time outside. For this I wanted to give our outdoor area a quick refresh with some fun accessories and pieces I brought back from HomeGoods.
Bring in the magic of color
A little bit of color can do wonders in a space. Accent pillows were the ideal accessory to brighten the existing pale palette of our sitting area. I found some amazing pillows at HomeGoods made with durable outdoor fabric and beautiful fresh designs. These were my main inspiration to start decorating the rest of this space.
Sitting mini tables
Well, not quite; but the versatility of outdoor stools is impressively amazing. I was able to grab two different styles at HomeGoods (love to mix-and-match them) and truly like how these look in the space. Besides using them as plant stands, I love having these around to offer additional sitting to our guests.
Lanterns are one of my favorite outdoor accessories. They are excellent pieces to bring outside and to add personality to your decor during the day. At night, they provide a beautiful candlelight atmosphere and a soft glare throughout.
Trays have changed so much through the years and with every new trend. When choosing trays I look for sturdiness and style and for this outdoor area I found the perfect one. This serving friend was made of natural strong fibers and besides been able to fit some glasses, it allowed more space for a cute nautical inspired lantern.
To finalized decorating our outdoor area, I added some plants in both ceramic planters and inside a lantern (talk about versatility!). Now you know were you’l find me, sitting here and enjoying this refreshed outdoor area.
