How I Created a Holiday Porch

The holidays are quickly approaching, and the decorating spirit is definitely in the air around here! I was inspired to decorate my front porch when I found the prettiest red wreath! Actually, to be honest, it was my little daughter who spotted it first!

I haven’t used red in my holiday decor in many years. I typically like to be to non-traditional in my decor choices, but this year, this red wreath did it for me! Isn’t it great how one item can inspire you so much! This is what happens when you #GoFinding, and this is why I love HomeGoods so much!

I added a black and white bow to the wreath, which ties in with the rest of my decor.  I found this holiday doormat, and layered atop an existing black and white mat.  I love layering rugs!

I purchased these galvanized buckets recently and had Fall flowers in them last month.  This month I am using them for planting my holiday rosemary trees and colorful cyclamen flowers. A little tin table  was used to elevate one of the pots for a variation of height.

Another fabulous find I came across was this black metal farm style bench.  It looks darling, all dressed up for the holidays.  I simply added a garland across the top of it, using zip-ties, and tossed a couple buffalo check pillows on it.

I can’t forget about that handsome nutcracker either! He’s another new find!

I got creative and used a furry tree skirt under the bench to keep toes warm!

I brought a few things out from the inside: A basket with a cozy blanket, and little side table to set your drink (or other cute holiday items).

#GoFinding to be inspired for your own porch! Re-use items from the indoors and get creative! You’ll have so much fun creating your very own outdoor style!
