Entertaining and Recipes Kitchen and Dining Organization and Cleaning

The Holidays are right around the corner and we are gearing up for festive parties and fun events. One of the biggest organization tips I can offer when it comes to Holiday planning is to get your cookware and utensils in order.

Some of you may know that we moved earlier this year which meant, we cleaned house prior to the move. Living as a multigenerational family, we do not have a lot of room for excess cooking and bakeware.  We decided to donate a lot of our older cookware and purchase new.

Between my mom and me, we had a collection of mismatched pots and pans. Many of them were older than dirt. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with mismatched pots but sometimes, it’s time to donate and start over.

Did you know that HomeGoods carries high end cookware that is affordable and fashionable? Cookware doesn’t need to be the traditional silver color.

HomeGoods has a variety of fun trendy colors with wooden handles as well as the traditional, high end pots and pans.

I picked up this collection of soft blush cookware at HomeGoods. The handles are so comfortable and do not get hot.

The turkey roasting pan is probably one of my favorite finds.

I found the roasting pan first and worked the rest of the collection around it.

We often times host Thanksgiving and the week prior, we make a list of all the foods we will be cooking.

Making a list the prior week allows you to gather your cooking and bakeware. If you like to color coordinate and create a theme, this is the perfect way to get organized before the big day.

Simple accessories that go along with your holiday dishes can be linen napkins, napkin holders, placements and a centerpiece theme.

We normally serve our dinner buffet style but have a table set. I love having the cooking and serving pieces coordinated in the kitchen as it helps create a cohesive and sophisticated look. The kitchen island usually serves as the buffet table and many times, we serve the food from the pot or pan it was prepared in.

Whether you are doing a small or large gathering for the holidays, HomeGoods has you covered and I have to say, their cooking and bakeware section is amazing. There is a huge variety of high end cookware to chose from and  the affordable prices make it so easy to snag a designer and sophisticated look.
