Furniture and Home Accents

As a country singer and songwriter, it’s super important that my home is a place where I can find inspiration to write new songs and get energized ahead of performances. My husband and I recently bought a home in Nashville, TN, so I wanted to build out a space that sparked my creativity and got me in the zone for writing lyrics. That’s why I love going to HomeGoods – one of my absolute favorite stores– to bring my vision for any room to life! On a recent trip, I especially had my music room in mind.

When I have writer’s block, I love exploring (and skipping through!) the aisles at HomeGoods to get me in the creative zone. It feels like a treasure hunt every time I walk in, which makes it really easy for me to clear my mind and find inspiration. The feeling I get when I discover the perfect find (which is the norm on any HomeGoods shopping trip) is that same feeling I have when I think of the perfect song lyric – everything just clicks!

While shopping, I absolutely fell in love with a boho-style rug and that’s when I knew I wanted my music room to have a western-boho feel. It effortlessly brought my vision to life and totally inspired the rest of the pieces in my space.

I love to host and sit around playing music with friends, so I knew I needed to pick up eclectic seating options to tie my space together; cue this incredible velvet blue couch with wood detailing that I snagged on the spot… I simply couldn’t leave it behind! I felt so good knowing that I was able to pick up a staple that I’ll have forever. I also found this oversized wicker chair that was so different and unexpected. I fell in love with it right away and knew I needed to create a dedicated writing spot in my home.

I styled it with a fun floor lamp, decorative faux plants of all sizes, and this magical unicorn art piece that I’m obsessed with.

As a musician, I obviously love to listen to music to help get me in the zone. That’s why it was so important that I have a place for some of my most prized possessions – including my Dolly Parton records and record player. I was thrilled when I spotted an open shelving unit at HomeGoods to showcase everything so beautifully. And that’s when I stumbled upon these shadow box frames (which were only $12.99!), that inspired me to turn my old Dolly records into décor for the room – the coolest!

I am totally obsessed with my new space! I hope y’all can find a little bit of inspiration from my room for your next Go Finding adventure!
