Summer always seems like mad dash to the finish line. Once the kids are out of school in June, every single day seems to fly by and before we know it, it’s time to head back to school the end of August. I am a “work from home mom” so I am thankful to have the flexibility during the summer to spend with the kids but it’s not an easy balancing act trying to get work done and fit in some play time. My time is always limited so for me, anything quick “food or drink” related is amazing! Today I am sharing a quick 2 minute Summer Sizzler Cocktail that can be with or without alcohol.

We always tend to have a variety of sparkling waters or club soda on hand and mixed with ice and fruit, you have the ability to create a fun cocktail that kids will love.

Often times, I have moms popping in and out of the house when they are picking up their kids from a swimming play date or a sleepover and I am always offering up one of these sparkling drinks.

Flavored sparkling seltzers or club soda always taste great with a splash of vodka. I don’t know if you have ever tried the already mixed spiked seltzers you can buy in the store but this is a great alternative if you do not have the premixed on hand.

Fill a glass half full with ice, add your favorite flavored seltzer along with a splash of vodka (can be flavored too) and top with your choice of fruit.

I used Raspberry Lemonade flavored seltzer, vodka, raspberries and mint garnish.

Absolutely delicious.

Light and flavorful.

The nice thing is the kids love flavored seltzer as well and when you add some fruit and allow them to use a fancy cup (could be melamine so it won’t break) they feel like a big kid! Happy sipping!
