Inspiration can come from everywhere. An image you find at a magazine, a Sunday visit to a museum, or simple accessories for your home can be easily translated into an inspiring piece. On one of my recent visits to HomeGoods, I found a comforter with a delicate butterfly theme that helped sparked my vision for a kids bedroom refresh.

Mix and match for your bed

This comforter had the most beautiful colors that felt like a great choice for a fresh look. I paired it down with some aqua color euro shams that had a flowers stitching design. The purple lines on the bedding sheets made the lilac butterflies pop out from the comforter.

Chose a statement piece

While on a mission to find some pieces that will complement the look of this room, I found an amazing lamp with a price that was too good to pass by. The ceramic flower that decorated this piece brought that feminine look I was trying to achieve. The white pear shape base makes the color of the flower stand out beautifully.

Display your memories

I’ve always loved taking pictures of my little ones. Reliving those important moments can be as easy as printing a photo and placing it on a frame. While treasure hunting at HomeGoods I found a set of photos frames with a large mat that made the pictures seemed even more prominent. The soft gray color of the frames was also something that grabbed my attention.

Fun accessories for the win

Accessories like the neon pink flamingo lamp, or the linen window panels, quickly added to the charm of this room. The ruffles on these curtains enhanced the fresh and airy atmosphere I wanted to recreate in this room – perfect for summer.

Starting from a simple inspiration like the butterflies on these comforters sparked my imagination. The excitement of finding the decor pieces that complemented to look of this room at HomeGoods felt like a constant adventure. Every little piece added to this space was a treasure that brought my vision to life.
