Unique Furniture Finds

My husband and I recently cleaned up our basement and organized it for the New Year.  We held a successful yard sale and made some donations to clear up unused items.  Now that the basement was all cleaned up, it was time to shop for a few new pieces to create a fresh new look.  I just love heading into HomeGoods when I’m looking for unique pieces of furniture! It is always such a fun adventure looking through the many treasures, in hopes of finding the perfect items!

I wanted to replace my old ottoman, so I was very happy to find this gorgeously modern coffee table.  The concrete-like top and black iron legs caught my attention right away.  I even found a great area rug with a gray and black contemporary pattern to place under the table.

My whole family uses this basement space, so it was important to find comfortable pieces of furniture and accessories that everyone could use.

We had an existing craft table in the basement, but it was beginning to ‘break down,’ so I was beyond thrilled to find this very cool table to put in it’s place. I love how it has a relaxed, lived-in feel.

These black and white framed photos, above the table, help set a more masculine tone (for my husband)!

To keep things light and fun, I added this ‘California Vibes’ pillow.

I’ve also used some faux greenery in this space, which requires no maintenance!  This plant stand is so modern and fresh!

A couple of little faux green pots add a bit of color on the new work table!
