I can’t believe how long it took me to finish my bedroom remodel! As soon as I started sketching out the design, I knew exactly what I wanted. The whole design idea was centered around these gorgeous pillows that I made myself!

When I found this fabric with big blooming roses and bright green leaves, I knew exactly what path I was going to take with my room. It was going to be different.

I started by wainscoting the wall to give it a focal point. This way, it wouldn’t look so plain when I moved my bed against it. To give my bed a different look, I painted it with black chalk paint. If you don’t have the funds to buy a whole new bedroom set, try painting them in a different color and they’ll look completely different!

There are many details that make a big difference with any design project — for example, these tassels hanging from the bed cover. You can buy these yourself and sew them on to give it a different, detailed look.

These mirrors were something I already had laying around my house. I gave it a fresh touch of paint and they looked brand new.

Lighting is crucial for any room. The chandelier I chose reminds me of farmhouse style. It fits in perfectly with the rest of the decor and I think it gives the room character.

When I was searching for the bedside lamps, I couldn’t find anything I liked. I finally found these lamps that weren’t in the right color — they were brown, but I thought the design was perfect. I decided to buy them and change them up myself. I painted them white and sanded them down so they wouldn’t look to “perfect”.

Opting for a white comforter is always a great idea. Just add blankets and bedsheets in different colors to give your bed some life. In my case, I found a blue quilt that I thought went perfectly with my wall color.

Whether you go faux or real, big or small, you can’t go wrong with plants. They make your space feel airy, fresh, and inviting.

Flowers are essential when it comes time to finishing touches in your decor. It adds a little bit of romance to your space.

And lastly, a little bit of pink to finish off my decor and to give the bedroom the pop of color it needed. This bench is a HomeGoods find I found a while back. It’s one of my favorite pieces and it works out great for that extra seating option.

I hope you found a little bit of inspiration for this summer and I’ll see you next time!
