• Ambient Lighting. This is the most basic light in a space. It sets the mood for your occasion. It can come from ceiling lights mounted to the surface of the ceiling or from table and floor lamps.
• Accent and Task Lighting. Once the stage is set with ambient light, your next layer of light is far more direct. Accent lights can illuminate a work area where light is needed, like a desk or kitchen counter. It can also be used to highlight that part of the room that just makes you happy inside!
