When you are in the living room of a home, what is the first thing you see? The coffee table.

The coffee table is one of the most important things when it comes to decorating your living room. It’s the focal point of your whole room. They can be square, long, or even round but they will always be an crucial element when it comes time to decorate.

Fill it up with books, flowers, bowls, plants, and more. Just think of it as your gallery wall and it will be sure to come out beautiful. In the past, I did a post demonstrating the correct way to set up a coffee table. In this post, I’ll be giving you ideas on how to decorate it with little to no effort. It is that easy!

A square shaped table is easy to decorate. Just divide the table into four equal parts and fill it up with your favorite books. I love collecting good books, and this is a great way to show them off.

Remember your table is going to be divided into four parts. Once you have the books in one part, you can add flowers next. Whatever kind of flower you like will be good. In the third section, add a pretty bowl like this one to catch all your things you have laying around. Last but not least, a candle. I think you should always have a one on your coffee table.

Extra large vases give your table the glamorous feeling it needs. It won’t look out of place, just add some flowers and you’re done! Add a large candle to give it some balance and some small decorations. Your table will be photo ready! On this next table set-up, I decided to divide it in five parts.

If you don’t have a coffee table, don’t think you absolutely need one. If you have a bench, use it like a coffee table. Who said they’re only applicable to seating? Just add a tray on top, and it will be ready for whatever you want to add to it. You can add flowers, plants, or anything you’d like. On the other side, add a stack of books to give it some balance and voila! You have a center table.

If you’re the type of person that prefers plants on your table, that’s great. I love plants but I’m not very good at keeping them alive. I opt for flowers and just keep replacing them when needed. I also like faux flowers as they are easier to maintain. If you’d like something a bit more interesting, add a large vase and put some faux branches. They will look amazing!
