After almost two years, I decided to do a small makeover at my daughter’s apartment. I wanted to add more life and incorporate her favorite colors into the space. First, I changed the sofa for something much lighter because her old one was too dark for the living room and the color scheme we originally created.

This coffee table and rug that I found at HomeGoods were the focal point for the makeover. After finding those key pieces, everything flowed together! This was a really fun makeover because it was a surprise for my daughter and she absolutely loved all of the different pieces and was really happy with the chosen color scheme.

This side table was another great find from HomeGoods. I made a small change to the drawers by painting them with white chalk paint because it’s incredibly durable.

Another great HomeGoods find was this lamp. It was initially silver, but I decided to change up the color with gold spray paint.

Don’t be afraid to mix-and-match different styles — I love it!

This rug is more boho, but it goes great with this mid century table. In this case, the rug was my favorite piece in the living room. The color and style add a fun pop!

These acrylic ghost chairs were perfect for adding extra seating in a small space. The transparent chairs create the illusion of a larger space and are perfect for having guests over.

They offer extra seating for comfort without the apartment feeling too cramped. Seating is one of the biggest problems in a small apartment because you never have enough for guests. But, I’m showing you that it is always possible!

I found this small ottoman in the children’s section, which was a perfect addition for a smaller apartment.

The gallery wall is one of the things that my daughter loves the most. At her request, I made only a few changes. I added a few more frames and these fun gold decals I found at HomeGoods. You can tape them directly onto your wall for a chic addition.

Let’s not forget that the dining area! This studio space is around 550 square feet, so the living room, dining area and kitchen are combined. The biggest obstacle was finding a way to separate all three spaces, but it’s doable.

Wicker baskets in a small space are always a great storage solution! In this space, I added two baskets to store water bottles and other beverages. The kitchen space is limited, so I maximized storage by adding these fun baskets.

I found this vintage radio at an antique store — it wasn’t in the greatest condition, but I restored it with some pink and black paint. The end result was a modern restoration on a classic radio.
