Do you have a small outdoor space that you would love to decorate and enjoy? Let me show you how I decorated two balconies at a high rise apartment. Let’s take a look at the main balcony first. The space is relatively small, but the view is phenomenal, so creating a functional, comfortable and enjoyable space was my goal.

To start, here’s what the balcony looked like before. There were peel-and-stick carpet tiles on the floor that looked like they belonged in an office building. I started by removing those, then painted the balcony floor in a charcoal gray.

Now, onto the fun part! I went looking for patio furniture at HomeGoods as I knew this would be the focal point, and then from there I could add additional touches. A few weeks prior, I saw some great patio sets, so when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find a gorgeous 5-piece one!

I measured it to confirm it would fit, then brought it home with me. Now, let’s take a look at what it looks like on the balcony.

I love the detail in the black roping – it’s a new twist on outdoor furniture that is sleek and stylish. I added a cozy throw blanket and pillows to the love seat, which makes it the perfect set up for a lovely little lunch party.

I also found these great melamine wine glasses and serving tray, which are perfect for outdoor dining.

A faux succulent on the table adds easy greenery to the setting – and the ceramic pot adds great contrast and texture to the display.

This balcony has quickly become a favorite place to relax and enjoy the view — day or night.

Next, I was ready to decorate the other smaller balcony. It wasn’t large enough to use the same patio set, but I was so excited to find very similar 3-piece patio set!

I added a small rug under the table, a throw to keep warm on a chilly night, as well as a few more melamine accessories.
