If shiplap walls and a claw foot tub aren’t in the budget this year, you can still create a farmhouse feel in your bathroom by adding one or more of these idyllic decor elements.
1. Found objects for storage
Think of items you’d find around the old farm. Wire baskets, galvanized metal buckets, mason jars or glass milk bottles are all great choices for storage in a farmhouse bathroom.

For a more modern farmhouse feel, you can add in some apothecary jars like Lauren at Bless’er House.
2. Rethink your towel rack
In the farmhouse bathroom, you can ditch the traditional towel rod.

Replace it with some old knobs or metal hooks screwed to a wooden board for the perfect farmhouse touch.
3. A wooden stool
Score extra points if it is an actual milking stool or has chippy paint like this one I spotted at Savvy Southern Style.

It’s perfect for placing next to your tub for a plant or to store toiletries.
4. A wood framed mirror
I love this old window-frame-turned-mirror in StoneGable‘s farmhouse powder room.

For a more modern farmhouse look, add a rustic, wood frame mirror.

And now, here’s a little secret — you don’t have to live on a farm or even go traipsing around farm auctions to find these four farmhouse decor items. I spotted them all at my local HomeGoods store, and all at an amazing low price.
So, what are you waiting for? Go find your key pieces and show off your new farmhouse inspired bathroom!
