My parents recently gifted me their beloved wedding china, circa 1950s, which carries with it fond memories of holidays past. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas we enjoyed countless turkey and ham dinners as a family.

But here was my challenge: my current dining room is decorated more on the modern eclectic side. So, why not continue down the eclectic path and create a modern vintage tablescape?

I started by adding a colorful, textured tablecloth underneath the glass top on my table.

I love how the glass reflects the blue — it feels like water!

For a centerpiece, I selected a couple of smooth, white pears that were consistent with the milky white of the china.

Perhaps my favorite find was the tall, thin candlestick holder. It felt like a soft overhead light, but without blocking the view. I wanted the china to take center stage! (For more on the coffee bar, visit my blog YourHomeOnlyBetter).

Overall, a very simple design.

And the traditional turkey dinner provided the perfect pop of flavorful color!

I wish you and your loved ones wonderful new memories this holiday season!
