Blue and white is one of the most popular and relaxing palettes for the home. I decided to try this trend in my house by adding a collection of beautiful blue and white oriental pottery pieces to my master bathroom. Normally, these decorations are found in other areas of the house, but I decided to take a unique spin on the style and try them near the jacuzzi tub in my bathroom.

To complement the blue and white, I added in hints of Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year, Rose Quartz and Serenity.  Not wanting to over-power the blue and white, I elected to add just a small touch of them in the form of wash clothes and linens.

I loved that I was able to find a ginger jar that could hold fresh flowers. Keeping live plants in your home is a great way to immediately create a pleasant atmosphere, as well as spread a refreshing scent throughout any room.

I don’t currently have the time or the budget to re-do the tiles, fixtures or paint job in my bathroom, but this small face lift still lets me enjoy the ritual of bath time. I indulge in the experience further by keeping luxurious bath essentials nearby. At the end of a long, tiring day, I love to soak my feet and relax my muscles in my favorite bath salts.

I added a simple, yet complimentary rug to help keep my tiled floors warm and dry around the bath. Additionally, I keep my favorite silk robe draped over a nearby chair for easy access when getting in and out of the tub. I especially love how the pattern and style is from the same Chinese culture as the blue and white porcelain pieces!

While I only had enough pieces to decorate my jacuzzi area, there are plenty of other ways you could bring this blue and white pottery into your bathroom as well. Try adding smaller jars to your sink surface to store bathroom essentials, such as Q-Tips, cotton balls, or make-up.
